Overturned tractor trailer in Memphis

Due to severe weather in our area, the band potluck dinner and show was cancelled last night. It’s a good thing.  Over the course of four hours, we were under a tornado warning three times and a flash flood warning that lasted for several hours.

Memphis had a tornado that damaged a shopping mall, a car dealership and many homes in the Wolfchase area. A brick wall on the Kohl’s department store in Cordova collapsed and threw bricks across the parking lot. Cars parked nearby had the windows blown out and a tractor trailer was overturned.

Tornado in Cordova/Memphis

Here we have a lot of homes that have damage and there is one home that a tree went right through the roof leaving a gaping hole. There were a few homes right across the street from the school (which is where the potluck dinner was supposed to be) that had trees on them and one home had the electric box ripped right off of the side of the house. There are trees down all over the place and some places still don’t have electricity. Luckily, we do not have any damage.

Anyway, I am having trouble getting up in the mornings. I tend to have the weird dreams I talked about before right about the time I am supposed to wake up. Two mornings in a row, I heard my alarm clock and assumed I was dreaming so I ignored it. This might be a problem. The kids go back to school next week and I have to get up on time. I am still assuming it is the lamictal.

I haven’t had any more issues with psychosis, so I assume that this may have been because I missed two doses. I didn’t miss two nights in a row. I missed a dose one week and then again the next week. Regardless, now that I am back on track it seems as if the only issue I am having with my medication is the dreams. I am experiencing alternating bouts of hypomania and mild depression but it is better than before. I’m just having mild episodes and as long as it stays that way, I will feel like the medication is working better than others have in treating bipolar disorder.
